Sally Hogshead has a wonderful "hog blog" that I think every Art Director, Copywriter and designer should read. She posted this article a while back and I just realized it supported a book I just recently picked up from a friend.
here is the blog:

We all surf the net' and can use services like digg and stumblr to tag our favorite posts, but our friends don't see them. Twitter has made it's way this far by people's frequent posts of links as well, but as much as we seek out sites, often they are lost between posts of someone's FML story or Lance Armstrong's random daily regime. I wanted to try something for people who are truly interested in design and technology. This page is dedicated to our posts that will keep us up to date on culture.

Augmented Reality
New York Times has finally jumped on board to recognizing an advancement on technology. Cell phones have already reached a 3-D realm within the confines of its small handheld apparatus. Now people are pushing the boundaries to make the most out of mobile devices. here is the article from NY Times:

Minute Maid rebranding
Last night in Typography we spent some time discussing branding at a much needed length. After battling out whether or not Tropicana's new label was effective or way off course from their target audience of "country", this appeared early morning.

first things first design manifesto 2000
This was a manifesto re-written to current from the 1960's version. Please read, it does tie into our study on the manifesto itself.

blogging site
This is a blogger that I started this summer and failed to maintain. I would like to revive this site as a source of interesting design things we come across while surfing the internet that might or might not pertain to class, however it is imperative as artists that we maintain knowledge on what is going on in our culture.
